The van gets loaded at dusk with thermal socks, hygiene packs, and two coolers of hot stew prepared earlier in the day. Volunteers check inventory against known needs in specific neighborhoods before turning the key. We don't manage people from behind a desk; we meet our neighbors on their own terms where they sleep.
Routes cover established downtown alleys, underpass warming sites, and emergency shelters across Indiana. Conversations happen on foot at eye level, ensuring consistency and building dependable neighborhood trust over months and years of regular visits.

Cold-weather safety runs and direct dignity protocols.
When temperatures drop below freezing, routes expand to include emergency supply drops for blankets, heavy coats, and chemical hand warmers. Every interaction prioritizes personal autonomy and respect above administrative intake.
We also carry vital document request forms and assist neighbors in replacing lost birth certificates and state IDs, knowing that identification is the absolute foundation required to access stable housing and medical care.
